Bedfordshire bird news May 2023

A Black-crowned Night Heron flew over Biggleswade 10th and a Glossy Ibis was near Cardington then flew east 15th.

 

A Golden Oriole was at Potton at Deepdale Wood 26th, another was at Marston Vale Millennium CP 26th and Biggleswade Common 31st.  A Wood Warbler was at Deepdale Wood near Potton 23rd.

 

There were a few Black Terns including two at Coronation Pit 3rd, two at Harrold & Odell CP 4th, with seven there 27th, up to three at Wilstone Reservoir 27th-28th and three at Priory CP 30th.

 

Two Wood Sandpipers were at Broom GPs and one was at Kempston Hardwick 4th and two Garganey were at Broom GPs 7th and two were at Priory CP 21st & 28th.
