Hertfordshire bird news August 2021

A Pied Flycatcher was at St Albans 26th and a few migrant Common Redstarts were found.


Up to two Little Stints were at Tyttenhanger at Coursers Road GPs 23rd-31st at least. Two Sandwich Terns were at Wilstone Reservoir 27th.


In the Lee Valley a Black Tern was at Amwell NR 4th and two were there 31st. Nearby a Garganey was at Rye Meads 6th and another or same was there 20th-24th.
