Hertfordshire bird news September 2022
A Wryneck was north of Coopers Green south-east of Symondshyde Farm 19th-20th. A Honey Buzzard flew south-east over Rickmansworth 11th.
Single Pied Flycatchers were at Panshanger Park 8th, Tyttenhanger GPs 10th and Therfield Heath 13th and at least two Pied Flycatchers were near Norton Green 9th-10th.
Highlights at Wilstone Reservoir were teo Black-necked Grebe 3rd, two Curlew Sandpipers 17th and up to three Garganey until 14th. Two Garganey were at RSPB Rye Meads 6th and singles were at Black Cat GPs 9th and Maple Lodge NR 7th.
A Wood Sandpiper was at Coursers Road GP 13th and up to four Little Stints were there from 29th. A Black Tern was at Hilfield Park Reservoir 4th and one was at Marsworth Reservoir 4th.
A Camberwell Beauty was at Letchworth 7th.
