Hertfordshire bird news September 2021
A Wryneck was at Gaddedson Row behind the Old Chequers 5th. Two Pied Flycatchers were at Pishiobury Park at Sawbridgeworth 2nd, another was at Amwell NR by the Hollycross Pit 4th and another was at Potters Bar in the Parkfield Japanese Garden 7th.
About fifteen Black Terns flew along the canal at Boxmoor 6th. Two Black Tern were at Wilstone Reservoir 4th and another one 5th. Two Black-necked Grebes were there 5th.
A Northern Gannet flew north over Sawbridgeworth 25th and what was presumably the same bird was found at Hilfield Park Reservoir the next day 26th.
A Garganey was seen on and off at Rye Meads 7th-17th. An Osprey flew north-east over St Albans 24th.
